[Mario vs. Santa]

here's how I rated this

I started with a 5 and every minute I didn't enjoy, I deducted a point. I then gave it a zero. Animation was choppy (increase frame rate if you need), graphics were really bad (explore all the different tools in flash, maybe they will give you better results), music was kinda scratchy (find cleaner versions or lower the volume a little). I did like the little mario santa fight, the way mario moved was okay, but not great. The text at the beginning stays on too long, maybe you should make a Next button so its on only as long as one needs it. If you made the same movie with better sound, graphics, and animation, I would like it a lot. For encouragement, I shall give it a two instead. It is a nice effort, honestly, but it needs more. The knife was funny.

very good

try to keep away from being too much like Super Mario Bros Z because that's what I kept thinking of, but it is very good and I hope to see more. And also, if you are going to make something so good, please improve the hand-drawn sonic at the beginning, or use a sprite.

yeah, its hard to avoid Alvin's style when you go for a fast paced fight, I was aiming to be more like Street Fighter, but seeing how people will compare this to SMBZ, I wager it will lower the overall score.
sorry about the drawing, had to draw it with a laptop "mouse" cos my drawing tablet broke.

I would just recommend

that you greatly improve the mini-game and submit that as its own entry. It needs to be a lot faster with just more, you know?

I was thinking about it, but the code is so old I would end up doing it all over again. It getsfaster and more enemies if your patient enough to play past the first few levels.
