Excellent, accurate

going to the tutorial section.

Mind-Blight responds:

Thanks!

I hope so.

I did laugh

cuase I know about the Jersey devil. Very silly. You should include a description about the Jersey Devil just so people know.

DylanSparano responds:

I might do that

okay, needs lots of work

but the basic "engine" is there, so first, we like some tracker when the bunny goes off screen, need a better ground and background, smaller obstacles, and the catapult launcher I do not like at all

RickyRombo responds:

I must have missed this review! Thanks I'll work on a tracker, I'll try to add a more appeasing background, and I made the birds and clouds smaller already. The catapult launcher... meh, it's not very good but it's there to stay. Is there a reason you don't like it? Send me a message! :)

I think you may have overlooked that you can swing it around a few times, but perhaps not.

Very much awesome!

Made me a little nauseous to play, but very cool. Some better character designs (their quality doesn't match the rest of the game), and you'll be made in the shade.

sploder responds:

Thanks for the review! You're the second person to talk about feeling a little motion-sick. Huh.. it never bothers me nor has anyone on sploder mentioned it. Maybe I'll play around with some options to limit the playfield motion.

I must disagree

I do not believe this is a good way to fake cel-shading (that is spelled correctly). However, I see what you are going for (kind of like it was filled with crayon), so I will not blam it.

Kwing responds:

Whoops, can't believe I misspelled the whole thing! I think cel-shading has a bunch of sub-categories, though, because I've looked it up and the look of them are quite different. For instance, the cutscenes in Final Fantasy Tactics as opposed to the example pictures on Wikipedia.

amazing!

I love it, its perfect. Sound would be nice, but I imagine the file size is pretty large anyway, so that's fine. Fantastic!

FreeRiderPete responds:

Thanks, but music will maybe be added to later versions!

like the other games, but lacking all the goods

here's a big problem I have. If I click past a zombie, but its still on the line between me and the zombie, my bullets should still hit it. Either send out the bullet and have it check to see if it hit anything or do a circle-line test (google that). Needs so much more, but still, good job I guess.

shinkei486 responds:

Yeah, I noted that during development, but there was really no time to squeeze it in considering the datelines. I'll make sure to take note of that in later versions.

very subpar

There are a lot of little things to a game that make it better that you may not realize. so I would like to see an improvement, because this really wasn't that good, but like, you can obviously do it. For starts, something small that I would recommend because I like the feel of it, is to have the dragon like drift when you press a key instead of just immediately move. What you would do is have a velocity variable that is added the _x every frame and then decreased, for instance _vel *= .9; and then pressing the key just resets the velocity to the speed you want. Give it a try, see what you think

mikeyoung responds:

You know what? That's not a bad idea. Cheers :)
I will definitely take that on board.
Might be a while before I can do anything about it, but yeah.
Why didn't I think of that?

okay, true some people don't know

and remember to stop the sounds everytime someone picks a new music, or they will just play on top of each others

i-am-the-lizard-king responds:

i know... i just dont know how to code it :(

yawn...how 'bout this?
